Did They Fit?
Ooh yes, they fit well. Some report that they need to go up a size but we didn’t. We ordered our regular shoe size and found the Pleaser pole shoes fit like a dream.
Were they Comfortable?
Pleaser pole shoes were designed with comfort in mind. You would think that wearing 6 or 7 inch heels for an hour or so would hurt your feet, but it doesn’t and that’s because of the hidden platform and padded material inside the shoe. Did they last?
We found that Pleaser pole shoes last the distance better than cheaper brands. They have been designed for the sport after all.
However, there are a few steps you can take to make them, last longer. Invest in a pair of shoe protectors so that you don’t scruff the ends of them and you keep them pristine for photoshoots and competitions etc. If you are going to be climbing up the pole and / or inverting in them. Try and make your landings soft so you don’t damage the heel.
Which Ones SHould I Buy?
That is a very good question! There are so many amazing platform heels that pleaser make which are perfect for pole dancing in, it can be difficult to decide.
The one thing that we can advise on is the style of platform heel that you buy.
In the Pleaser shoe range opt for sandals with an open toe. Platform sandals look great and you won’t bash your toes against the toe end of the shoe when you land. Your painted toes will look super amazing peeping out of the end.
Another thing to ensure they have is a buckle and a strap. Slip-on sandals are best avoided if you plan on going upside down, there is nothing worse than someone inverting and their shoe flying across the room. It’s not a great look 🙂 Another reason to make sure you can tether them to your feet is so that you have better control when walking, pirouetting or dancing around the pole.
Heel size is optional but 6 or 7 inches are ideal. Any shorter than 6 inches and it doesn’t really have the desired effect. If you know what you are doing then 8 inches are a possibility. Any higher than that and most will struggle to walk in them and you run the risk of hurting your ankle when you land from inverts or if you slip whilst walking.
